In this unit we will gain a better conceptual understanding of how to add, subtract, multiply and divide with proper, improper and mixed fractions.

In this unit we revisit percentages but focussing on increasing and decreasing percentages repeatedly. We gain a deeper understanding of terms like β€˜compound interest’ and also investigate how we can calculate original amounts.

In this unit we look at what standard form is and how we can use this scientific way of representing large and small numbers to allow better comparison and ease calculations.

This unit will focus on rearranging formulae and draw upon our understanding of solving equations. We first of all define what formulae are and look at a variety of methods we can use to to change the subject of a formula.

In this unit we will look at the properties of triangles and regular polygons with a focus on how their angles behave. We will work through a series of examples finding missing angles.

In this unit we look at rotation, reflections and translations. We explore each individually and then bring this together where problems ask us to using combinations of all three to investigate the movement of an object or shape.

This unit will look at how to factorise simple algebraic expressions and expressions that are quadratic.

In this unit we will explore sequences and look in-depth at how they are constructed. We will explore and make sense of how we can find the nth term of a sequence.

This unit will look at how we can expand single brackets and simplify expression by collecting like terms.

This unit will look at Scatter Graphs and in particular their importance when comparing data, making predictions and understanding if there is a relationship between two sets of data.

In this unit we will look at how fractions and ratio are related. We work through various problems to understand this relationship and how we can use it to our advantage when solving ratio problems.

This unit will focus on circumference and area of circles. However, we must know what to do when faced with situations where we only want part of the circumference (arc) or part of the area (sector).

In this unit we will look at a selection of interesting number patterns from square numbers, cube numbers, triangular numbers and finally, the Fibonacci sequence. We will build up to being able to find missing terms in such sequences.

In this unit we will look at probability. We will look at simple probability of independent events using visual explanations and then link this to events that are dependent on each other, comparing the difference between the two.

In this unit we look at what β€˜powers’ are and explore the law of indices. We try a selection of problems where we can apply combinations of these laws to simplify complex algebraic problems.

In this unit we will look at units of multiple measure, e.g. speed, distance and time as one scenario. We will explore techniques that allow us to solve any compounded unit problem, like when faced with questions examining density, mass and volume.

In this unit we explore what gradient is and gain a deeper understanding of what functions are. We will look at the straight line equation and how we find these equations with limited information.
