Each item below represents a section of the course covering one of the key concepts needed to achieve grade 4 at GCSE. You can think of them as mini courses within the main course, each comes with its own materials and tracked progress.

🎦 9 Videos    πŸ“„ 4 Files
In this unit, we explore the idea of sharing unequally using a ratio. We work through a series of examples and models to help better grasp, conceptually what this actually means.

🎦 5 Videos    πŸ“„ 1 File
In this unit, we will look at how we can calculate the area of any triangle using a simple formulae that is derived from something you will already be familiar with.

🎦 9 Videos    πŸ“„ 2 Files
In this unit, we will look at equations where there is an unknown variable on both sides of the equals sign. We will work through a series of examples and look at some models that offer a better way to make sense of this.

🎦 10 Videos    πŸ“„ 2 Files
In this unit, we will learn how to solve equations with one unknown variable by first appreciating what equals means.

🎦 10 Videos    πŸ“„ 6 Files
In this unit we look at rotation, reflections and translations. We explore each individually and then bring this together where problems ask us to using combinations of all three to investigate the movement of an object or shape.

🎦 4 Videos    πŸ“„ 4 Files
In this unit, we will build on what is known already with regard to circumference and area of circles and investigate what we need to do when we only have part of a circle. Furthermore, we will look at shapes that are compounded together, i.e. circles and rectangles.

🎦 6 Videos    πŸ“„ 2 Files
In this unit, we look at the mathematics behind lists and strategies we can use to make this process more efficient and help solve what appear to be complicated problems.

🎦 13 Videos    πŸ“„ 4 Files
In this unit we will introduce algebra. We will work through some key ideas on what variables are, order of operating and algebraic substitution.

🎦 6 Videos    πŸ“„ 2 Files
In this unit we will explore sequences and look in-depth at how they are constructed. We will explore and make sense of how we can find the nth term of a sequence.

🎦 5 Videos    πŸ“„ 4 Files
This unit will look at Scatter Graphs and in particular their importance when comparing data, making predictions and understanding if there is a relationship between two sets of data.

🎦 11 Videos    πŸ“„ 4 Files
This unit will look at how we can expand single brackets and simplify expression by collecting like terms.

🎦 12 Videos    πŸ“„ 6 Files
In this unit, we explore mean, median, mode and range in order to make better sense of data. We incorporate these statistical techniques with frequency tables and gain a deeper understanding on how to begin analysing simple data sets.

🎦 6 Videos    πŸ“„ 4 Files
This unit will look at different types of angles and explore the properties of angles when using parallel lines.

🎦 6 Videos    πŸ“„ 5 Files
In this unit we explore what gradient is and gain a deeper understanding of what functions are. We will look at the straight line equation and how we find these equations with limited information.

🎦 5 Videos    πŸ“„ 2 Files
In this unit, we explore probability. We focus on the language of probability and gain a better sense of why they sum to 1. We try some simple experiments and look at what probability can tell us in a problem solving sense.

🎦 8 Videos    πŸ“„ 2 Files
In this unit we look at what β€˜powers’ are and explore the law of indices. We try a selection of problems where we can apply combinations of these laws to simplify complex algebraic problems.

🎦 6 Videos    πŸ“„ 4 Files
In this unit, we take a deep dive into learning about the mean average, how we calculate it, what does the mean, mean and also the impact of changing the original data can have on the mean average.

🎦 23 Videos    πŸ“„ 8 Files
In this unit, we make links between fractions, decimals and, percentages. This is a key idea in mathematics and must be understood well to progress. We look at lots of examples, models and problems to help you better grasp this idea.

🎦 8 Videos    πŸ“„ 6 Files
In this unit, we look at some key number properties and how we can use them to find lowest common multiples, highest common factors and also, what is a prime number and how might we utilise their properties.

🎦 4 Videos    πŸ“„ 1 File
In this unit, we explore the 3D world of shape - namely, cubes and cuboids. We gain a better understanding of where the formulas come from as opposed to memorising them. We offer lots of different practical examples for you to practice and think about.
